# How can an AI agent check that an email address can receive mail without sending anything?

**Short answer.** Check syntax, the domain's receiving servers (MX), disposable-domain lists and role addresses, without opening a mail session. GET /confirme/courriel?courriel=… returns a verdict (livrable_probable, adresse_de_role, jetable, invalide) and a signed receipt. Nothing is sent, nobody is notified.

## Why

Sending a probe email is intrusive and often impossible from an agent runtime. Most bounces come from typos, dead domains and throwaway addresses, all of which are visible before sending.
